FLORIDA CITRUS BOWL STADIUM The City of Orlando recently completed $10 million in the first phase of planned enhancements at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. Improvements included structural work, lighting and technology that will allow the Citrus Bowl to remain competitive in attracting world-class events and Bowl Games. UK-based, Canadian Comedian Andrew Mondia

London-based actor and comedian, Andrew Mondia, has such a passion for his craft that nothing is standing in his way. Andrew makes the art of comedy look easy because if comes naturally to him. He believes that everyone has their own sense of humour, they just need to tap into it and use it. That’s how he is perfecting his style.

But comedy and acting are not all Andrew excels at. He is also an incredible motivational speaker. His main focus is helping people overcome negativity and letting go of the things that bring stress into the lives of people who are held back because of that negativity. Andrew believes that with a little bit of will-power and concentrating on removing the negatives that surround a person, anyone can be positive, optimistic and live the life they are meant to live and want to live.

Acting and bringing laughter into people’s lives is all Andrew has ever wanted to do. He started at a young age and has continued to hone his passion throughout his life. Not too long ago, Andrew starred in a short video called “Stolen Auto Recovery Volunteers”, where he plays Bob Lemon in ICBC’s Training Video about a couple of bumbling guys who volunteer to recover stolen vehicles. Their lack of experience gets them caught by the car thieves and “Bob’s” cohort, “Franco”, ends up getting beaten down by the thieves. This hilarious clip of constant mishaps can be found on Andrew’s YouTube page. Andrew’s comedic and thespian brilliance stands out above most because of the undeniable passion that has followed him and grown in him his entire life. Not many others in his field would take on the subjects Andrew takes on for fear of ridicule. Yes, Andrew has fears of blanking out or not being liked by his audiences, but he says fear is a great motivator. He just takes a deep breath and faces his fears. The more often a person faces their fears, the less frightening those fears become.

Andrew would love to be in Disney films, as well; doing voices in some of their animated feature films. He would also like his career to take him to Broadway or London’s West End, where he can entertain audiences worldwide and make them laugh.

Not long ago, I predicted that singer/song writer Keith Cullen would quickly make a big name for himself. This was not hard to predict as the Dublin musician has written lyrics so hauntingly true and sings with a voice so extraordinary that the world would stop dead in their tracks and take notice. Add to all this, a debut video with characters so well played and scenes that look more like a movie than a music video and you have the ingredients for a superstar. Kemba Cofield is one of America’s most celebrated jazz singers of our time and this was proven in 2009 where she was invited to spend three solid months performing at the Grand Hyatt Duke’s Bar in Santiago, Chile.

She began her journey to mainstream jazz with the help of internationally known talent agents and MySpace where she could share links to her web pages, display footage from her past performances, give detailed information about her music and herself, and announce concert and performance dates and venues. Kemba explained, when she was asked to perform at Duke’s Bar, she was very honoured to be a part of their musical world. She performed with their in-house band sang some of her favourite jazz songs by her favourite artists, as well as her own original music.

In 2008, she had the great pleasure of having her first live performance at the Lincoln Centre in New York City, as well as moving on to the 2008 Atlanta Jazz Festival soon after. Also in 2008, Kemba starred in the stage play, “Eternity”, in Atlanta.

On November 9^th, 2009, Kemba appeared for a live taping of Cutting Edge TV which aired in Atlanta, Birmingham, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and many other major cities on the East coast. This particular show which she appeared featured several singers and musicians in and around the South-East region of the U.S.

On May 13^th, Kemba Cofield and her band participated in the VGJAZZ Straight Ahead Jazz Series at the Cajun Crab House in Atlanta and on September 10^th Kemba and her band will be performing in Atlanta to raise money for cancer research. Details will be posted on her web site.
